Were it all began…
My connection with textiles began long before NOMO. I studied textiles, but my earliest memories of fabrics, colour and quality come from my mother.
She taught me to look closely, to feel materials, and to appreciate the beauty in subtle details. That sensitivity has stayed with me ever since, and still influences the way I work today.
NOMO grew from that background — naturally, and very personally.
Ik laat mij inspireren door de alledaagse dingen. Het kan de combinatie zijn van glazuren tijdens het pottenbakken, een interessant detail in een schilderij, een omslag van een boek, een patroon van een jurk, tegels op een muur, bloemboeketten maken uit mijn eigen bloementuin… ik ben ook gefascineerd door de culturele diversiteit van reizen. Niets is fijner dan thuiskomen met veel nieuwe energie en inspiratie.
Alle ontwerpen zijn een vertaling van mijn persoonlijke ervaringen, herinneringen en dromen. In effen satijn heb ik een aantal klassieke en moderne beddengoedsets gemaakt. De stijlen zijn verfijnd, elegant en ontworpen als tijdloze klassiekers. Ik concentreerde me op het creëren van eenvoudige, elegante details die een hoog afwerkingsniveau garanderen.Je kunt zelf een beetje een ontwerper zijn!

Inspiration and creation
I rarely start with a finished idea. Inspiration often comes from something small: the surface of a ceramic object, an old textile, a colour seen while travelling, the light in a room, or an unexpected combination of tones.
I collect these impressions and let them evolve into a mood, a palette, and eventually a collection.
For me, the most interesting designs are the ones that feel effortless — as if they have always belonged in the room.

Each piece is tailor-made with care — from the first cut to the final finishing touch. The result: bedding crafted with precision, authenticity, and heart.
