Why Egyptian cotton, what is ELS cotton?
The finest cotton in the world, Egyptian Cotton is known for its high quality and luxurious feel. Because of the unique climate in Egypt’s Nile River delta region, Egyptian cotton has evolved to have extraordinary qualities. Under perfect conditions it has developed a longer fiber staple—one that is stronger and more durable than other types of cotton. Because of its high absorbency, Egyptian Cotton holds dye with greater depth and vibrancy than other cottons. Egyptian Cotton absorbs moisture so well, making the fabric resilient against fading.
Egyptian Cotton is so luxuriously soft that it’s often compared to the feel of silk. Our Egyptian Cotton is available in a variety of colors, and it retains its vibrancy even after repeated laundering. Traditional Upland cotton fiber is, on average, 26mm long. However ELS-cotton can have much longer fibers—up to 40mm! After spinning, the yarn is doubled to increase its durability and abrasion resistance. The end result: a finer yarn with greater strength—and it shows in finished fabric!
What is PERCALE?
Our NOMO percale sheets have a beautiful softness and crisp smoothness. They give you ultimate comfort and they only get softer during washing. This classic cotton product is also durable and versatile, making it one of the best sheet materials you can buy.
The tightly woven percale weave – done in a classic one-thread-over-one-under – gives the fabric a simple matte finish.
Percale sheets are smooth and cool to the touch. The non-insulating properties of percale make it one of the best cooling bedsheets available, making it ideal for summer use. Although percale can be used all year round, it is not as warm as other bed textiles and wrinkles more easily.
What about Sateen?
SATEEN, is the ultimate in luxury, comfort and style. Its his unique weave – four-over – one-under – that gives the fabric a lustrous, smooth feel and glossy sheen. The gorgeous, smooth feeling of satin floats over your body and feels luxurious against your skin and is comfortable all year round.
Satin bedding is not overly warm or cool, so it is great for year-round use. For those who love soft bedding and want to stay warm, satin can be a great choice. Satin has a weaving technique which gives the farbic a slight luster and a silky touch. Sateen is less likely to wrinkle than other fabrics. As say at NOMO: “almost fun to iron :)”
What makes our flanel so amazing?
Our high-quality cotton flanel is made in Portugal and is exceptionally soft. What makes our flanel so unique, is that both the yarn and the cloth are lightly brushed.
Our lightweight flanel is perfect for snuggling into bed all day during cold winter months.

Tencel, tell me more
Tencel = Lyocell made by Lenzing a renomated Austrian manufacturer. Lyocell is a durable, wrinkle-resistant fabric that’s easy to care for. It’s also incredibly soft and silky to the touch, comparable to silk.
Breathable and absorbent, Lyocell fibers provide efficient moisture absorption. That means you’ll stay dry and cool all night long, so you can get a better night’s sleep. Lyocell is naturally anti-bacterial and has a lower moisture content, which inhibits the growth of bacteria and creates a less favorable environment for dust mites.
Extra soft texture and antibacterial properties make it perfect for sensitive skin or to avoid irritation and pimples. Lyocell fabric is created in a closed loop process where 99% of the water and solvent are reused and recycled. This OEKO-TEX® certified fiber is free from harmful substances.
Tencel fabric is made from Lyocell fibers, which are biodegradable and compostable. This means that they can fully revert to nature after they are used.
